Top 10 Super Powers

One of the most common questions I pose the people I meet is regarding the top three superpowers they would like to have. It gives you a good insight into how a person thinks especially if you combine ‘why’ with ‘what’. You can better judge people with just these two questions; try it sometime. This particular list talks about the top ten superpowers that I would like to have. What about you? What superpowers will you prefer? It is not necessary for those to be from within this list, if you have any in your head that haven’t been mentioned here, feel free to let us know. Enjoy the read!

10. SPEED

What if you could run with the speed of light? Before you start imagining, let me remind you that the speed of light is 300,000,000 meters per second. Going from one place to another will not be a problem. Oh, let me add something to it. You can run all you want but you will never get tired; point being that you can keep on running for as long as you want. You could travel the world in a matter of minutes. That is something wishful isn’t it? Speed however is not the ultimate superpower. Read on to know about some more interesting superhuman abilities.

9. ELASTICITY

Remember Mr. Fantastic? I personally am not a big fan of this ability but if you had it, you could practically fit into anything and literally mold yourself according to a given situation. Opening doors should not be a problem or reaching over tall buildings will be a piece of cake. The interesting bit is that you probably will not feel any pain if you are hit because of the elasticity and you will be able to shrink wrap yourself around a person rendering him completely immobile although, I wouldn’t recommend that.

8. SUPERHUMAN REFLEXES

This is one ability that could come in handy in absolutely any sport you play. You could save a lot of things from dropping. You will have excellent hand-eye coordination making you a fantastic ball player. You could dodge absolutely anything that comes your way in a fight and maneuver around it with a comeback of your own. Of course these are just my opinions. Can you think of anything better to do with your superhuman reflexes? If so, do let us know in the comments below.

7. REGENERATION

Remember wolverine from x-men? He was by far my favorite character. He was practically invulnerable but his greatest strength lied in the quick healing. With this ability at hand you could actually deal with absolutely any torture or harm that might befall you. Actually, I remember a scene where he puts out a cigar on his hand; that was particularly impressive. With this ability you could actually win the ultimate fighting championship with a scar on your body. You will be immune to any gunfire, sword slashes and random injuries.

6. INVISIBILITY

Now this is one ability that is on the mind of every other person I have met. But it still makes number six on my list. You could accomplish absolutely anything you want if you have the power of invisibility and it is up to you whether you use it positively or negatively. Well, you could even use it to accomplish some of your dirty ideas if you know what I mean. Oh, on a positive side, you could actually help win wars with this ability at hand. Imagine, no one can see you no matter what you do, isn’t that a dream come true? I know for most it is.

What is Shirk (Polytheism) and its manifestations (in Islam)?

What is Shirk (Polytheism) and its manifestations (in Islam)?

What is Shirk?

Shirk basically is polytheism, i.e. the worship of others along with Allah. It also implies attributing divine attributes to any other besides Allah.. It particularly implies associating partners in worship with Allah. or to believe that the source of power, harm or blessings is from others besides Allah.

Types of Shirk

There are three types of Shirk, namely:

(1) Ash-Shirk-al-Akbar, i.e. major Shirk

(2) Ash-Shirk-al-Asghar, i.e. minor Shirk

(3) Ash-Shirk-al-Khafi, i.e. inconspicuous Shirk.

Ash-Shirk-al-Akbar (The major Shirk):
The major and serious polytheistic form, it has four aspects:

(a) Shirk-ad-Du’â, i.e. invocation. This aspect implies invoking, supplicating or praying to other deities besides Allah.

Almighty Allah says:

"And when they embark on a ships they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him only, but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others," (Quran – V.29:65)

(b) Shirk-al-Niyyah wal-Iradah wal-Qasd. This aspect implies intentions, purpose and determination in acts of worship or religious deeds not for the sake of Allah but directed towards other deities.

(c) Shirk-at-Tâ’a. This aspect implies rendering obedience to any authority against the Order of Allah.

" It takes a lot more courage and a lot more strength to stay a Muslim than to become a Muslim."

Lady GaGa Fan - My Convert Story Islam

Women in Islam

At a time when the rest of the world, from Greece and Rome to India and China, considered women as no better than children or even slaves, with no rights whatsoever, Islam acknowledged women's equality with men in a great many respects. The Quran states:

"And among His signs is this: that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest and peace of mind in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Certainly, herein indeed are signs for people who reflect." [Noble Quran 30:21]

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"The most perfect in faith amongst believers is he who is best in manners and kindest to his wife." [Abu Dawud]

Muslims believe that Adam and Eve were created from the same soul. Both were equally guilty of their sin and fall from grace, and Allah forgave both. Many women in Islam have had high status; consider the fact that the first person to convert to Islam was Khadijah, the wife of Muhammad, whom he both loved and respected. His favorite wife after Khadijah's death, Ayshah, became renowned as a scholar and one of the greatest sources of Hadith literature. Many of the female Companions accomplished great deeds and achieved fame, and throughout Islamic history there have been famous and influential scholars and jurists.

We might also mention that while many in the West criticize Islam with regard to the treatment of women, in fact a number of Muslim countries have had women rulers and presidents. To name a few: Turkey; Bangladesh and Pakistan.

With regard to education, both women and men have the same rights and obligations. This is clear in Prophet Muhammad's saying:

"Seeking knowledge is mandatory for every believer." [Ibn Majah]

This implies men and women.

A woman is to be treated as God has endowed her, with rights, such as to be treated as an individual, with the right to own and dispose of her own property and earnings, enter into contracts, even after marriage. She has the right to be educated and to work outside the home if she so chooses. She has the right to inherit from her father, mother, and husband. A very interesting point to note is that in Islam, unlike any other religion, a woman can be an imam, a leader of communal prayer, for a group of women.

A Muslim woman also has obligations. All the laws and regulations pertaining to prayer, fasting, charity, pilgrimage, doing good deeds, etc., apply to women, albeit with minor differences having mainly to do with female physiology.

Before marriage, a woman has the right to choose her husband. Islamic law is very strict regarding the necessity of having the woman's consent for marriage. The groom gives a marriage dowry to the bride for her own personal use. She keeps her own family name, rather than taking her husband's. As a wife, a woman has the right to be supported by her husband even if she is already rich. She also has the right to seek divorce and custody of young children. She does not return the dowry, except in a few unusual situations.

Despite the fact that in many places and times Muslim communities have not always adhered to all or even many of the foregoing in practice, the ideal has been there for 1,400 years, while virtually all other major civilizations did not begin to address these issues or change their negative attitudes until the 19th and 20th centuries, and there are still many contemporary civilizations which have yet to do so.

What is said about the battle of Badr in the Quran

The Battle of Badr is one of the few battles explicitly discussed in the Qur'an.
Qur'an 3:13 Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

Qur'an 3:123And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah ; perhaps you will be grateful.

Qur'an 8:5 [It is] just as when your Lord brought you out of your home [for the battle of Badr] in truth, while indeed, a party among the believers were unwilling,

Qur'an 8:17.And you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And you threw not, [O Muhammad], when you threw, but it was Allah who threw that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Qur'an 8:41And know that anything you obtain of war booty - then indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and the orphans, the needy, and the [stranded] traveler, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our Servant on the day of criterion - the day when the two armies met. And Allah , over all things, is competent.

Qur'an  8:42.[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, and they were on the farther side, and the caravan was lower [in position] than you. If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment. But [it was] so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined - that those who perished [through disbelief] would perish upon evidence and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence; and indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Over Eating can lead to weight gain

ABU DHABI: Doctors have cautioned residents of the harmful effects of overeating during Iftar and advised them to follow proper eating habits, including breaking the fast with a sweet to get instant energy.

Dr Anita Gupta, clinical dietician at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, has put together a set of insightful health tips that provide one with an overview of what should be done and what should be avoided during this Holy Month.

She said that after Iftar the body gets very tired specially the brain and the nerve cells.

“It requires something sweet to get instant energy. Three dates with a glass of cold water or a glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice is a good source of glucose for the body and is refreshing,” she said.

The long period of fasting during this month can have a direct impact on one’s health, either positively or negatively depending on the lifestyle that one chooses to adopt.

She advises that overeating and eating too much of fried and sugary food can lead to unnecessary weight gain.

Don't Be Sad and Think About Delights

Don't Be Sad and Think About Delights

Wealth, appearance, children, house, and talents — you must be content with your share in these things:
{So hold that which I have given you and be of the grateful.}
(Qur’an 7:144)

In fact, every Prophet was at one time or another a shepherd. Dawood (David) was a blacksmith, Zakariah (Zacharia) a carpenter, and Idrees (Enoch) a tailor; and yet they were the best of mankind.
Therefore your value is in your abilities, good deeds, manners, and contributions to society. Do not feel grief, then, over that which has passed you by in life in terms of good looks, wealth, or family; and be content with what Allah has allotted for you.
{It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this World.} (Qur’an 43. 32)

Remind yourself of Paradise, which is as wide as are the Heavens and the Earth.
O’ you who live in poverty, or are afflicted with calamity, work righteous deeds so that you shall live in Allah’s Paradise.
{Peace be upon you, because you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!} (Qur’an 13: 24)
“Verily you are returning towards your Lord – with your deeds and actions [good or bad], a sure returning…” (Chapter 84, Verse 6)

Concentrate on the present, living each day as it comes.
Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah said:

“No calamity befalls the earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees – before we bring it into existence” (Chapter 57, Verse 22)
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

Allah (swt) promises never to burden us with more than we can bear, and

“Verily, with hardship, there is relief” (Chapter 94, Verse 6)

RAMAZAN - 2012 IN PROGRESS

All over the world Muslims have begun their holiest month of the year by fasting from dawn until dusk each day, broken each evening by large, communal meals. The start of Ramadan is earlier each year because it is calculated based on the sighting of the new moon, which begins the Muslim lunar month. Muslims use
the time to reevaluate their lives through the scope of Islamic doctrine. -- Lloyd Young

China Bans Ramadan For Muslims

China Bans Ramadan For Muslims:

China have taken a very disturbing decision to forbid Muslims from fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Communist Party decided that officials and students in the largely Muslim province of Xinjiang should not only be banned from fasting but also from visiting Mosques.

What LM finds absolutely astonishing about this shocking behaviour which could impact on the 50 Million Chinese Muslims is yes the decision but equally the manner this is being implemented where according to Al Jazeera party leaders are being ordered to bring "gifts" of food to local Muslim village leaders in order to ensure they and their Muslim villagers are eating during Ramadan.

LM has to say while I found the German decision to ban Muslim and Jewish circumcision disgraceful the Chinese are increasingly beginning to display worrying signs of behaviour on a par with the worst of the Nazi Regime in Germany.

China from a moral standpoint you should be ashamed however, from the purely political perspective of self preservation you have taken a step too far with regard to the 9 Million Muslim Uighars in Xinjiang who will react and punish you for your dangerous arrogance.

Earth’s Information

                                                         Earth’s Information

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) recited this Aayah: “That Day it (the earth) will declare its information (about all that happened over it of good or evil).” [Surah Az-Zalzalah, Ayat 4] He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then asked his Companions: “Do you know what ‘its information’ is?” They said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “Its information means that it will testify against every man and woman about what they did on its surface. It will say, ‘On such and such a day they did such and such. That is ‘its information.’” [Tirmidhi]

Among the witnesses against a person will be the earth, and days and nights; they will testify about what was done to them and against them. Wealth will testify against its owner; a person’s own body will testify against him; and the angels who record deeds, both good and evil will also be witnesses. Imaam Qurtubi devoted a chapter to this subject in his Tadhkirah.
This hadith has been sent to me by dailyhadith.adaptivesolutionsinc.com This verse is very special and do you know if you recite this 2 times that like you have read whole the quran and if you only recite one time that like read the half of the quran Allah have made it easy for us we just need to thanks allah for everything that allah have giving us!
